NMAHPPS (nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, pharmacists and healthcare scientists)
Giving all healthcare staff the opportunity to undertake research for patient benefit is essential for improving patient care and developing NHS services.
While historically research activity has been led by medical staff, we know that non-medical healthcare professionals – nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, pharmacists and healthcare scientists (NMAHPPS) – can and do make valuable contributions to research and innovation.
Our programmes and microcredentials, provided by our member organisations, provide a clear pathway from research novice to clinical-academic leader.
