Birmingham Health Partners (BHP) is proud to launch the 2016/17 West Midlands Clinical Academic Internship Programme (CAIP) and masters to PhD Bridging Programme. Both programmes are aimed specifically at non-medical professionals who aspire to undertake Masters or PhD level study and embark on a clinical academic career in order to achieve better outcomes for patients.
The programmes are funded by Health Education England (HEE) working across the West Midlands and are designed to link into the HEE/National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Integrated Clinical Academic Programme (ICAP) for non-medical healthcare professions.
The programmes will be hosted by University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) and the University of Birmingham (UoB). Participants will benefit from access to the wide range of expertise that BHP and its external partners can provide.
