THINK BIG Future Health & Life Science Unconference
November 28 @ 9:30 am - 7:30 pm
About the event
The IET’s Think Big Future Health and Science Unconference is a participant-driven event, bringing engineers together with clinicians, senior/middle managers, healthcare professionals, patients and non-industry stakeholders to discuss important themes across the healthcare sector. Our full-day programme is organised around themed streams with time built in for discussion and networking. As a delegate, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in the sessions you want to contribute to, with the flexibility to join other streams throughout the day.
Dr Steve Taylor, Strategic Director of Birmingham Life Sciences Park, will be joining this event to deliver a session on how the park will put patient needs at the heart of our healthcare data and translational infrastructure to accelerate the development and adoption of data-enabled precision medicine and healthcare innovations.
Format of the day
Five+ themed streams will be run in parallel throughout the day; each session within a stream will last around 1 ½ hours (to include presentations/talks from an industry expert, delegate discussion and networking time).
You’re invited to attend the sessions you want to participate in, but please be aware that some sessions may fill quickly and we’ll operate a first-come, first-served policy on the day.
The main streams are:
- Revolutionising Healthcare with Immersive Technology
- Healthcare Innovation
- Medical Devices and Data: Prevent, Detect and Diagnose
- UX Saves Lives: The Future of Healthcare
- Clinical evidence and Validation: The What and How
And many more sub-health tech topic discussions to be announced.
The programme will conclude at 4.30 pm and the event will continue as an informal networking and drinks reception accompanied by a cold/hot food buffet.
